Maximus IX Hero cant get CPU Fan or Case lover to run.
Hello All, Im pretty freshly to building computers this is my first build I was hoping someone here could help me. Everything seems to live running smoothly but for some argue as the title states i cannot get the CPU fan and an additional case fan to start running. I Deliver the Maximus IX Bomber 270 MB, NZXT S340 Case, i7 7700k and Asus ROG 1070 GPU, Hyper 212 EVO cooler. Both fans are affined to the Megabyte (The 2 fans that come with the case are connected straight to the PSU) The CPU Devotee is affiliated to the CPU_FAN header and the Extra Casing fan is in CHA_FAN2. Ive tested riding them around whol over and have still had no fate. I could have swore when i booted information technology up for the first time the central processing unit fan was running but im not to destined. Ive confiscated information technology in to small center (where i got all the parts) and they in truth couldn't come up with a reason wherefore it wasn't working, and i refused to leave my comp there over night to have their "experts" check it out, advisable it might be a motherboard issue and that i Crataegus oxycantha have to substitute it. Im really hoping this is not the type. Any aid would be great for this. as i dont genuinely deprivation to run any games without my central processor fan working at least.

By default, the fan speeds change according to the temperature of the CPU. Might be worth listing the make/model of the fans you are victimization.

Then the CPU Fan is the Malcolm stock one that comes with the Hyper 212 Evo, It clips onto the heatsink itself. The other fan is an CoolerMaster Silencio FP 120

Make a point your Personal computer is turned off but with mogul silent going to the motherboard. Drive the Unblemished CMOS button on the backmost of the motherboard. Then power on your system. If you haven't, remove the side panel so you can see if the fans are spinning.

It it helps this is the message i get when i boot up, before acquiring sent to the BIOS which i have to exit to get to the OS. Blue-pencil, something told me to curb and see if my Graphics card fans were spinning as well ( i could never tell before because its facing down but they are not as fountainhead. Is this a Mobo takings?

1) That message is displayed if the speed of the fan plugged into the CPU header is to a lower place 300 RPM (default warning threshold). To check if the fan header is working, put the buff pep pill to full for the Central processing unit fan header in UEFI, or use FAN Xpert to do IT from the operating system. Some fans don't spin much when the CPU temps are low - yours whitethorn be similar. Of track, inexperience in edifice PCs can lead one to make mistakes and strange conclusions also.
2) To the highest degree new GPUs feature a fan stop manner, so it's normal for the fans of the card not to twisting until the temperature exceeds a disposed threshold.

But did you look inside your shell to go through if the fan for your heatsink is spinning? Besides when you're inside the BIOS, go to the Monitor lozenge and attend at the reading for the CPU Winnow header. At what speed is the fan spinning?
